Join us for a backpacking weekend October 16th-18th! We’ll meet up at Food Lion on Friday the 16th at 5pm and drive to site. We’ll have a short hike from the parking area at Snowden dam to the Matt’s Creek shelter. On Saturday, we will hike up the boulders at Devil’s Marble Yard with just our day bags. Sunday we will break camp and hike back to the parking area. Scouts will gain experience packing all their gear, finding a campsite, pitching their tent, and using individual cook stoves to prepare their meals.
