Learn one of Scouting’s essential skills and participate in the Spring Trout fishing tournament at Camp Powhatan. Scouts will get 2 nights of tent camping, and may also have the chance to earn the Fishing merit badge.

We will be participating in the James River Batteau Festival by canoe. This will be a multi-night paddle and camp trek with an option to stop at the end of the 5th day after earning the 50 miler patch, or continue all the way to Richmond!

Pedlar Reservoir Campout

The Pedlar Reservoir, located in Amherst County in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, is the primary drinking water source for the City of Lynchburg, VA. It offers fishing for species like trout and bass, with daily, in-person permits required from the City’s Billing and Collections Department.
