Grayson Highlands State Park Campout

Grayson Highlands State Park Campout

This will be a fun and scenic 3-night campout in beautiful Grayson Highlands. Hikers on the highlands trails are likely to encounter wild ponies. They were introduced to the park in 1974 to prevent reforestation of the highland balds.

Camping Location

We will be camping at the group campsite in the Hickory Ridge Campground. See Map. Running water and toilet facilities are available. The group site can accommodate up to 35 people, but all adults will need to be registered and have completed the Youth Protection Training course.
